The Church Bells Tolled Nine
The church bells tolled nine
The shock sent shivers down my spine.
A young rose sheared at its first bloom.
The clappers again kissed cast metal Thursday.
A proud and bright chorus,
Telling the town of a kiss.
A kiss of boundless love.
Loss is never forgotten,
Nor goes unsuffered by those who know.
But truly, nothing is more well-known than the hope of joy in a new day of life.
We only need to remind ourselves of life's unending song.
